Anyway...
Hello all! It's been a while.
So...updates!: I finished my freshman year of college without dying, failing, or contracting ebola (woot!) and successfully moved back home to California for the summer (another woot!). I probably could crank out some quasi-insightful bit of prose about the "Life's Lessons" I've learned in the past year, you know, one of those things that they turn into posters and notepads and refrigerator magnets. But I don't really feel like it so I'm not going to.
Also, I'm writing regularly! Yay! I'm writing weekly blogs for TeenInk.com. TeenInk is a monthly magazine that publishes student articles, reviews, poetry, fiction, art, all that good stuff. They published my poetry about a year ago and now I'm writing for their website. So please please please make my publishers/webmasters/project directors and me happy and check out [link] Please feel free to comment. Give me ideas, I'm always open to suggestions.
One more thing: I don't know if you guys keep lists of books you want to read, but I sure as hell do. It's really long, and I'm tackling it this summer (or trying to anyway.) The thing is, I haven't even started on the actual books on the list (It's a lot of classics that I just never read. Of Mice and Men. The Great Gatsby. Catch 22. etc.) because I just knocked back a double shot of Chuck Palahniuk and am following it up with a Laurie Notaro chaser. (Look for me under the table.) Anyway, I recommend them both. That is, both Chuck Palahniuk and Laurie Notaro. As writers, of course, not as drinks.
Wear sunscreen!!!
Peace & Love,
~Chelsea

'Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?'
'That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,'
'I dont know where. . .'
'Then it doesnt matter which way you go,' said the cat.
Just love that piece.
